Hanspeter Schaub
Hanspeter Schaub is Professor, Aerospace Engineering Sciences at the University of Colorado and holds the Glenn L. Murphy Chair. His research interests include orbital mechanics, relative motion dynamics, attitude dynamics and control, nonlinear dynamics, charged astrodynamics, high performance astrodynamics software development, and space debris mitigation. He has received the University of Colorado Dean's Teaching Award, the provost's faculty achievement award, the outstanding faculty mentor award, and was named to the College of Engineering top 20 faculty in research. AIAA awarded him the John Leland Atwood Award for excellence in teaching and the Mechanics and Control Flight Award for excellence in research. He is an Associate Fellow of AIAA and a Fellow of the American Astronautical Society. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University from which he received the Department of Aerospace Engineering Sciences Faculty Distinguished Performance Award.
